Music is one of the primary driving forces in my life (apart from Caroline and computers!!). Whether I'm at home, in the car, at work, at the gym... you'll always find me listening to music. And, when I'm not listening to it (or sleeping), I'm playing it!

Below is a list of artists whom I have some kind of connection with. This is either because they helped influence my upbringing, or because they're just damn good. I certainly don't expect everyone to agree with this, as there's at least one questionable artist on this list!!

Back in the late 70's, I took lessons to play the piano... and I wasn't too bad. Stopped just after Grade 3, as my music teacher died and the replacement was quite bad! Since then, I've taught myself to play other instruments... including my own voice.

Piano - taught to up Grade 3
Drums - self-taught on my cousin's drum kit
Keyboard - kind of an extension to the piano... somewhat different though
Guitar - self-taught, but can't play for toffee!
Bass Guitar - self-taught by only using the E string of my acoustic!
